Chrome extension · Screenshot and screen recording Chrome extension

FramioCam

Capture, style and edit — all inside the browser you already have.

Captures screenshots and screen recordings from any browser tab, dresses them in backdrops and device mockups, then edits them on a real timeline — without uploading anything.

The problem

A raw screenshot rarely looks like something you want to put in front of a customer, and dressing one up means a second tool. Screen recordings are worse: most tools upload your capture to someone else's server before you have decided whether it should leave your machine at all.

What it does

The capabilities you are actually evaluating.

Four capture modes

The visible area, a full scrollable page, an entire site's worth of pages, or a region you draw — stitched at device-pixel resolution.

A real screenshot editor

Twenty backdrops, macOS and Windows window frames, non-destructive annotation with deep undo, watermarking and precision crop.

Screen recording with no upload

Record a tab, a window or the whole screen with live preview and proper mic and camera meters. Recordings stream to local storage as they are made.

A multi-lane timeline

Twenty-four transitions, click-driven auto-zoom, cursor highlighting, text and audio, exporting to MP4, WebM, GIF or a still frame.

Where it fits

Situations this was built for.

  • Producing product screenshots that look designed rather than captured
  • Recording a bug reproduction without it leaving the machine
  • Making a short feature walkthrough without opening a video editor
  • Documenting a long scrolling page in one image
What you get out of it

Capture a full page, a region, or an entire site

Style a raw screenshot into something worth sharing

Edit a recording on a real multi-lane timeline

Public proof. Public Chrome Web Store listing and a product site documenting capture, the screenshot editor, screen recording and the video editor.

Questions

Answers before you click through.

Does anything get uploaded?

No. Captures, recordings and edits stay in the browser's own storage. The only request that crosses the network is a licence check, which carries none of your work.

Which browsers does it work in?

It is a Chrome extension, so it runs anywhere Chrome does — Windows, macOS and Linux.

Is there a free tier?

Yes. The first fifty captures work with no account at all, and the details of what the free tier includes are published on the FramioCam site.
